World High Speed Maglev Trains

                            


Maglev Trains are the future of travelling. Lets consider the basic about it first. Anything which may levitate(raise or float)by means of a magnetic power  is simply called as magnetic levitation. Maglev systems are becoming a popular application around the globe. Maglev trains are popular in transportation stations in big countries like Germany, China, Japan and the United States of America due to the demand for high-speed transportation, as the general public transportation services become more congested with increase of population. Maglev trains are magnetically levitated trains that traverse in a very high speed, with only electricity being its main source of energy. The train propels forward without any friction from moving mechanical parts. It has many advantages with minor drawbacks.


                                 

”Maglev Trains” mean Magnetic levitate train. 

The basis of maglev trains mechanisms are magnetic levitation. This is achieved with the principal of repulsion and attraction between two magnetic poles. When two magnets have the same poles, it will repel with each other and when it has different poles, the result would be otherwise.

There are currently three known maglev suspension systems. In this project report, we will be covering the basic principals of Electrodynamic Suspension Systems (EDS), Electromagnetic Suspension Systems (EMS) and Inductrack. The three suspension systems each have different characteristics and special features. While EDS and EMS both use only the interaction of magnets and superconductors, Inductrack uses coils on the track underneath the train body. All three suspension systems work under the same principal of magnetic levitation.

 

The maglev propulsion systems uses the interaction of stators, superconductors and magnets between the railway and the train. It has controls for speed and direction, which are based on electricity.
                              

The highest recorded maglev speed is 603 km/h (375 mph), achieved in Japan by JR Central's L0 superconducting Maglev on 21 April 2015, 28 km/h(17 mph) faster than the conventional TGV wheel-rail speed record. Even MAGLEV train "capable" of 3,500 km/h ( if inside a vacuum tunnel). That would be called as vacuumed tube train. Scientist has build such concept and soon it would be future.

"A Day Made of Glass 2" is a montage of "how highly engineered glass, with companion technologies, will help shape our world," according to Corning. It is mind-blowing to imagine everyday objects suddenly having rich, interactive displays and multiple functionalities.
                                   
After watching the video, I began to think about how intelligent glass, installed on a broad scale, could change the world. There are two key integrations: in the education and medical fields.
In the video, kids sit in rows of workstations in a classroom with a large, interactive touch-screen display and a teacher. Computers show only what is on the main display with no distractions. The menu system and interactive features, combined with a teacher's expertise, compel the kids to pay attention and learn.
                                 

 I certainly feel this is what education could be, and should be. Just seeing the purported UI reminds me of how it is sad that we'll see something like this in a mobile device before we see it integrated into our schools.
There's also a portrayal of a hospital full to the brim with fancy futuristic Corning glass setups. Aside from the expected tablets for carrying around information and vital stats, there's a suggestion for an all-glass room. The clip shows a doctor video-conferencing with another doctor thousands of miles away. It's surreal to see them work together on charts through a massive, ultracrisp glass touch screen. Will we really have wall displays that show another room perfectly?
                               

Sign me up, but please don't show me the bandwidth bill.
The psychics at Corning also suggest that hospital rooms in the future could be made entirely of high-tech specialty glass that could offer antimicrobial qualities that "inhibit the growth of microorganisms."

Digital Scent Technology

                                     

Currently, online communication involved only two of our senses, sense of sight & sense of hearing. Soon it will involve the third, the sense of smell using a nose. Digital scent technology is the main application of e-nose. With digital scent technology, it is possible to sense, transmit & receive smell through internet. DigiScents, an interactive media company, is creating iSmell Digital Scent Technology, new software which will enable scents to be broadcast from the Web. Dexster Smith and Joel Lloyd Bellenson, experts in bioinformatics and genomics, started from the following idea: “If we can find the essence of a biological smell and build a profile, we can digitize and broadcast it. Fundamental principle of artificial nose is that each sensor in the array has different sensitivity. The pattern of response across the sensors is distinct for different odors. Different e-noses use different types of gas sensors which form heart of e-nose.
                                            
                               

The smell synthesizer mean the device which is used to generate the smells. Such as iSmell is device used to produce the gas using computer. There are various types of smell synthesizers available in the market, but for computer the smell synthesizer is made by digiscents industry. The cartridge will contain chemicals either natural oils or synthetic fragrances that will be activated by either heat or air pressure, when you send a signal from your computer. Currently 128 chemicals are stored in a cartridge. Similar to an ink jet printer, those oils form the core of a replaceable cartridge, which is inserted in the company's iSmell device.
There are many applications for digital scent technology such as:
Ø send scented email
Ø watch scented DVD's
Ø play scented video games
Ø sample a perfume from a beauty product's website
Ø smell the assortment of freshly brewed coffees for sale in their online store.

There are three basic types of applications that the digital scent technology seems a logic fit at the moment.
Ø Education: Scent is an effective teaching tool for subjects such as Geography, History and Sciences.
Ø Entertainment: Scent will make music, movies and interactive games life like and immersive.
Ø Medical: Aromatherapy is a kind of curing certain diseases by using different types of smell. It helps in identifying dementing brain disorders
Ø Over the Theater: After some time the virtual theaters will come in the market. This virtual theater is basically the concept of the virtual reality.  For example if we are watching a movie and we see burning of tier then we will fill that smell in theater.
                                      


Ø Over the Television: After some time over television will came with more picture quality, better voice as well as iSmell device, which will create more interest in watching the television.
