The best part about the “Digital India” initiative is that it plans to provide high speed internet connectivity to rural areas. Especially after the demonetization announcement, more & more steps have been taken towards making people aware about digital transactions and thereby promoting cashless transactions.
One such example is the “DigiDhan Mela” held by Haryana Govt. in Gurgaon last month. It was a national level fair which aimed at educating people about the importance of digital infrastructure and the ease of using internet for monetary transactions. A large number of people gathered, especially from rural areas and made the event a grand success. Everyone participated with full enthusiasm and learnt that using internet for digital transactions was an extremely simple affair and that it would make their lives much easier & hassle free.
Our Govt. aims to make every household digitally empowered as in today’s time, IT is the main driver of national growth & development. High speed internet in villages, online availability of Govt. services, digital literacy, availability of digital resources in Indian languages and safe & secure cyber space are some of the key features of Digital India campaign.
With Startup India & Digital India programmes, India is surely gearing up for a new future. We as responsible Indian citizens can also do our bit by raising awareness & providing digital education to common people.
So, let’s come together and transform India into a digitally empowered society.
